About Project:
One of the biggest challenges in field sales operations is ensuring that planned market visits are actually executed as intended — and that there’s traceable feedback from each visit. Our client's sales management team created detailed route plans for reps at the beginning of the year, but in practice, there was no visibility into whether these visits were completed, which outlets were engaged, or what feedback was collected. This lack of field execution tracking led to missed opportunities, reduced accountability, and an absence of performance data from the market.
We designed a robust automation workflow that closes this gap using ClickUp, Airtable, and Make.com. Sales reps are assigned personalized ClickUp accounts, and every morning, their route plan for the day is automatically generated and pushed as tasks in ClickUp based on their master schedule in Airtable. Each visit is tied to a dynamic form where sales reps log outlet feedback and visit outcomes. The automation keeps all systems in sync, posts logs back to Airtable, and routes follow-up tasks based on visit results such as generating new order lists or flagging unresolved issues.
This system brought transparency, structure, and efficiency to sales rep visits — transforming a blind spot into a powerful source of field intelligence.
